| ABC-Ulwazi launches listeners
association with 20 radio stations 31 January 2005A listeners association is a group of
people who come together with a common purpose to listen to a specific radio program
produced and provide feedback with the intention of influencing content thereof.
The launch was held in Johannesburg on
Monday 31 January 2005.
Radio Khwezi will engage in a 7
week project whereby community members are given an opportunity to provide information on
programs. They analyse programs and their input is considered for future program making.
This creates a sense of ownership of information and the communication process.
Lessons learnt from other regions show
that communities will always respond better to information that they can relate to.
