Vodacom Journalist Of The Year Awards 2004 KHWEZI TAKES IT TWO YEARS IN A ROW KZN Regional winners were announced at a ceremony in Durban on 4th August. A cash prize of R5 000 and a certificate is awarded to the winner in each regional category. In the category of Radio Feature the judges were confronted with not one, but two top class examples of excellence.The insert, Iran and the 'Givers of Life' broadcast on East Coast Radio, combines excellent reporting, interviews, background sound and being-there ambience. The expose, Department of Welfare Corruption, broadcast on Radio Khwezi, raises investigative reporting to the powerful tool it ought to be.
