FROM CLASSROOM TO CONSTRUCTION SITE

Radio Khwezi mingled with some of the volunteers at the Jimmy Carter Work Project who are hosting the Youth Build 2002 in Durban this week. Excited young boys and girls were eager to have their voices recorded as they spoke to Musa Makhoba. Musa hosts the youth program on Radio Khwezi which plays every week day from 5:30 to 6 p.m..

Approximately 200 young people will build 8 houses in 5 days. The Youth Build 2002 will bring together young people from diverse backgrounds to help build affordable houses for needy families.

The experience will allow the young people involved to make a significant contribution to the community, gain valuable work experience and learn new skills as well as meet other like-minded youth and have fun in a meaningful and constructive way.
