Devastating train smash     

The train crash that killed 23 people including 16 school children near Stanger on 5 February was a major tragedy. Two trains collided head on. Many people were also injured. The Department of Transport and the Education Department as well as Metro rail donated money to help families and to carry all the funeral arrangements. Radio Khwezi was there to report on the incident.
Investigations on how the accident could have happend are still in progress, but it seems that the cause was a malfunctioning signal due to stolen cables.
