A National Content Training Workshop was held in Midrand from
31 January to 1 February. The workshop was a platform to provide information on the involvement of all participating stakeholders on issues related to women, children, crime prevention and people with disabilities. Radio Khwezi was invited by the Department of Communications (DOC) to participate in this workshop, as experts/advisers; other stakeholders gave their input that will lead to the final recommendations of the production process.

The key note address was by the Minister of Communications Dr Ivy Matsepe Casaburri.The minister praised the sector by quoting the example of a stolen vehicle being recovered over the Christmas holidays, through swift "on air" action by a community radio station.
