ZULULAND EXPO 2001 in RICHARDS BAY

28th - 30th SEPTEMBER

Although things got off to a delayed start, because of violent winds and rain the day before the opening, the Zululand Expo committee's spirits would not be dampened, and they endeavoured by all means to make things as pleasant and comfortable for those exhibitors who had been inconvenienced by the bad weather.

The Expo ran from Friday, 28 September to Sunday, 30 September 2001. Again this year the show was very successful. An initial figure of 25 000 - 30 000 people came, with 15 000 visitors entering the gates on the Saturday night alone.

We ran two competitions from our stand. In both cases, the first prize was a  radio headphone set and the second prize a pack of aQuellé mineral water. The mineral water was supplied by aQuellé, official sponsor of our road shows. We also did five "live" cross-overs to the studio over the weekend: three in Zulu, one in English and one in Afrikaans.
