RADIO DRAMA TRAINING

KHWEZI RECENTLY UNDERWENT A TRAINING PROGRAMME IN ZULU DRAMA PRODUCTION. THE TRAINING WAS CONDUCTED BY JACOB NTSHANGASE FROM THE INSTITUTE FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF JOURNALISM.

This is part of the IAJ's Community Radio Training Project (CRTP). CRTP conducts station- based training through its quality programming training unit (QPTU).

Jacob's educational background includes drama and media studies. He holds an honours degree in cultural and media studies from the University of Natal - Durban.

With this training we envisage Khwezi's drama department developing a pool of writers and actors who will design and produce various 'edutaining' drama series. Local talent from the surrounding community will be nurtured and encouraged to use local drama as a vehicle for development.
