Radio Khwezi sees to the
educational needs of the community as priority. This done in conjunction with a
local Adult Literacy School to provide the expertise. Matric subjects are taught on
CoshUlwazi (Back to School) by teachers from local high schools. This serves to
assist the very poor quality education that many students have in the more disadvantaged
areas. English and Zulu lessons have also been a great service to the community.
The
music content at Radio Khwezi has such a high local content (between 30% and 50% on
any given day) that local groups have great exposure of their music. Radio Khwezi does
free recordings for local groups hundred of songs have been recorded at our
studios. This has resulted in unheard of choirs and music groups being heard on a regular
basis and even receiving invitation. Some of this music may be officially published and
put unto CDs.
